Good Mood Food

I am about RUN like a crazy thing out of the office door and into the lovely sunshine which would be streaming though the window were it not for a tall building next door. Herumpf. How rude putting a building there. This is the problem with the area of Westminster where I work, lots of relatively tall buildings all crammed together. Mind you, if the sunshine was streaming in I would probably grumble about that too as it would probably be too warm, and I probably would have trouble seeing my PC monitor (which isn’t usually something which bothers me, but is when I am boshing out article after article - I have spent much of today avoiding a piece about mediation, a form of dispute resolution. Gee, I love my job. But I wrote a great piece about a gorilla enclosure at London Zoo. I am not joking either.)
I ought to stay and work late tonight. But in this weather? No way, Jose (please apply the acute ‘e’ that WordPress won’t account for). Instead, I have old fashioned pen and paper to edit my writings on the train ride as I was too lazy (and running too late this morning) to unplug and lug in my laptop. This is because I was catching up on Lost last night and my laptop is on the bedroom floor. I am addicted to it again. Beardy also told me that there are at least TWO other episodes waiting for download because I have been slack with it. A-whoot to that. (By the way, I love Sawyer. Nearly as much as The Doctor - Who, not Jack).
And I feel great because I ate my banana and everyone knows that bananas are full of wonderful little (naturally occurring) chemicals that make you feel just GREAT! Grumps gone for the moment! Yay!
Hasta manana (with the wiggly bit on the first ‘n’) my bloggy friends. xx

How do you find the time to do all this blogging AND work AND THEN MORE blogging AND THEN EVEN MORE work…? I’m astonished (and, of course, very impressed) that you can churn out all this typing stuff - and it’s all so very readably addictive (or should that be `addictively readable?’). Could you be by any chance the result of a spider/human pairing with all those many hands making such light work..?
oh i love bannannannnannnas. yum
London-Lass - well, I am a PR writer; writing is “what I do”. When I am not writing, I am usually thinking about writing. I also type pretty fast and this means that even long posts can be done in, say, ten minutes. Most of the longer ones have already been crafted in my head long before they are committed to the blog - I do have 3 hours a day on public transport to mull these things over. Plus, I find that to totally take myself “out” of my work periodically throughout the day actually aids my work. It helps clear my head so I can re-focus on what I am supposed to be doing. Some people walk around the block; others nip to the loo; others have a quick gossip at the coffee machine. I bash out a blog post.
I suppose it is also a form of addiction. Some people gamble, some people are shopaholics, some people shoot up into their eyeballs. I blog too much. I know, it’s terrible isn’t it!
Fab - I love bananas too. But not until I am eating one. I never really CRAVE a banana like I crave CHEESE ON TOAST!!! Oh I could do with that right now. I hate that Cathedral City advert because it really works and I am almost salivating at the prospect of runny cheese on crispy toast. Yum yum.
Oo .. runny bubbling cheese on crispy toast (particularly when said toast has been carved from the unsliced bready variety, like a `split tin’, `bloomer’ or `cob’ and is all thick and door-stoppy) is like manna from heaven.
[Oo dear .. whilst typing the above, I produced so much saliva that a little piece of minty chewing gum just fell from my lips `splat' on to the keyboard. Would be less embarrassing if I didnt have a client sitting across from me just a coupla feet away. cringe]
Are they still not off that island in Lost yet?
