Why is that cheating? I would have done exactly the same thing
Superb picture. I’m guessing coatman was talking technical about how to alter the image 
Even with film photography it’s possible to sightly under or overexpose the image even after it’s taken (most photo labs do this automagically with your snapshots) and if you can do it with film photography then it’s not considered cheating with digital photography
Well, I must say that I am pretty pleased with it, considering it was day 1, I didn’t even look at the manual (have you seen that Eddie Izzard sketch??) and it’s all rather confusing and so on…. AND trying to entertain a small animal with an even smaller brain for long enough to get a photo isn’t easy!!
But isn’t she gorgeous? Polly is so daft. I hate leaving the girls in the morning because they are always tearing around the cage and leaping up to the door and looking at me like “aaaaw, please let me out!”
I love the way rats hold on to things when they’re exploring. I’m definitely getting some as soon as we unpack.

OR get some as you are unpacking! Imagine the fun they would have with all those boxes and paper packaging and places to hide! A ratty heaven.
That does sound like fun, especially when you add a cat and four children into the mix.
