hats off, purses out
I read about this on tender[hooligan]’s blog here and decided that I wanted to also give this guy some coverage just in case his story touches anyone who reads Blue soup.
Nigel Hearden of Gosport, England, is currently part way through a sponsored walk from Gosport to Rome, a total of 1,200 miles in memory of [...]

half a week to go
And then I am out of here.
I feel really weird today. Lethargic. Maybe it’s to do with daylight savings time? Maybe because my weekend was unexpectedly manic but thoroughly enjoyable and now I am down to earth with a bump again. I had toast this morning and that hasn’t helped.

we are sailing…
I’m still in the Middle of Nowhere, waiting to be fed dinner before I face the 120 mile drive home. I feel really good though, because Saily is so pleased with the results of our photoshoot. Some of the shots are just wonderful. She is a very pretty girl and good at ignoring the camera [...]

babysitting
It’s a long story. I am supposed to be in London this weekend, but at lunchtime today, I had to drive down to The Middle of Nowhere to help The Mechanic and his sister, Saily Girl. And this evening, I ended up effectively “babyitting” his other sister, 14-year old Lizbeth… and her guinea pig.

So I discovered last night.
I woke up at 6.39 this morning still wearing one knee-high boot and with a packet of Boursin in bed next to me. It appears that I got peckish after going out and getting absolutely smashed with Mr Divorced. I must have gotten home and gone to the fridge to get [...]

going for a ride
Mr TT (ah yes, remember him?) is still a daily highlight in the world of Soupy and he and Jose frequently prop me up with marmite on toast of a cold (sometimes hungover) morning. Today I owe him 10p because I am skint.
Anyway, DID I MENTION I AM LEAVING MY JOB?
Woohoo. A rooty toot toot. [...]

note to a friend
Everybody needs a hug sometimes. Everybody needs to know that they are cared for. Everybody needs to know that it’s all going to be alright.
And even if alright doesn’t turn out to be quite what you initially hoped for, alright is what will come through in the end. A little bit of patience and some [...]

clutch control
The reason you haven’t heard from me in a while (although it is naturally up for debate whether you even care) is because the heap of junk that I laughingly call my VTS decided to die on me over the weekend. A new clutch was in order. Luckily for me, I was stranded in the [...]
