MEN - STOP READING NOW. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
I have just got home from the hospital. With 8 days of heavy bleeding and no apparent let up, my only option this morning was to trudge to A&E and be seen by someone with more experience than a GP.
The short story is that I ended up in the Acute Gynae Unit and had all manner of joyous tests done.
The conclusion?
It’s probably related to my operation and the fact that the endocervical epithelium is now exposed. Thankfully the scan showed that my uterus is fine, both of my ovaries seem to be alright, and I have no polyps or fibroids. Maybe I will be a mother one day.
I have a bunch of hormone tablets to take to try and stabilise my “condition” and some Tranexamic acid to stem the bleed. If it persists, I have to call my consultant and request that my colposcopy is brought forward urgently. He then followed up this last statement by saying “try not to worry and get some rest”.
Try not to worry? He said “urgently”!!!!
Argh.
So, I will not be joining the blog crew who are meeting tonight
I’m sorry. I hope that they have a lovely time though! I am going to bed because I feel totally drained.

Shit Soupy. Hopefully the drugs will work. *hugs*
Ouch!
I’m sorry to hear that. As a female who has had some similar gynae problems, I can relate somewhat.
You’re going through a bad time right now so it’s understandable that you are finding difficulties seeing the advantages of being a woman, but there are several. One is that you have lots of variety to choose from in shoes and clothing.
Like the doctor said, try not to worry (too much) as it only worsens your condition. Do things to distract your mind like watching old sitcoms or something interactive online.
Here’s wishing you a speedy recovery!
Blimey o’riley Blue, hope everything turns out OK.
Blog crew?
Get some rest and hang in there. xx
Argh - it must feel like it’s one thing after another. Hope all is ok.
Eek! That must have been horrible. I hope you’re back on form soon.
Oh I HATE it when they say “don’t worry”. Of course you will. Tis normal to fret.
But it does sound like the essentials are ok and they are on the case. My fingers are crossed for you.
I’ve always believed the male organ is the most uncolourful thing in the world while ours lie on the other end of the spectrum.
Hope you feel better,
That sounds horrible
I hope it all clears up soon and you get all fixed. When it’s all getting you down just remember that if you weren’t a woman you wouldn’t have the nice boobaloids
Honey we miiiiisssssssed you! Sincerely hope you are feeling better soon and we will organise a nice meal at some point .. with possibly a little more notice.
Love and hugs.

When i ´m sick or have a symtom that strikes me…I try (after the anger, the fear and every damn other sensations) to ask my symptom what it wants to tell me about myself…and I visualize my cells from the inside collaborating with the drugs. It ´s a phase it will pass…

The Mechanic wouldn’t fancy you if you were a bloke. That’s one advantage
Thinking of ya babe! Hope you are feeling better. You know where to find me if you need to chat. Hugs from Canada!!!
While there are some downsides to being a woman, and I sure hope you feel better from the one’s you have been experiencing, aren’t you glad you are not a man? Really?
That sounds really scary; hope you’re doing okay.
Thanks for the warning. Such a shame I didn’t heed it. Knowing next to nothing about wimmin’s issues I can only suggest rest and drinking plenty of water. Apparently drinking water is good for you and do you really need an excuse to take it easy.
I hope you recover swiftly and thoroughly.
Well I am a chick so I read this start to finish…I’m sending you good thoughts, I hope you feel a lot better soon and that you can get some positive news.
*hugs
bloody hel girl thats sounds fucking awful.

Oh good grief, you poor wee pet.
