cbt: cessation of blue’s traumas
28 April, 2008 by blue soup
Or so I hope.
After the top news on Saturday, I have booked myself a treat in. I am doing my CBT
Richard said that there is a good chance I can get it done on this coming weekend, but if not, I am in his diary for Saturday 17 May.
Hurrah. Then I can save up for a widdle CBR 125 to commute about on.

Dangerous, dangerous things .. SO TAKE CARE!
Brilliant things! Go for it. After a lot of dickinig around on my part I finally took my advanced test the Christmas before last. I’m planning on getting over the next hurdle this summer when I go to Catalonia for my raciing test.
Sounds like fun! When’s the 5k race?
Cat - of course! Motorbikes, as well as being thrilling, totally scare the heebeejeebeeees out of me. The Mechanic said “if I give you ONE piece of advice when it comes to bikes it is this: always, always be fearful and respectful of your bike”. He says that his GIXXER frightens him everytime he rides it, even more so with me on the back. I’m only starting with a little one - and hopefully in 6 months time or so I will feel comfortable with it and competent enough to take my full test meaning I can ride any size bike (would love a little 500)
Brennig -
I am really looking forward to it, but afraid also as I have only ridden a moped before and I kept falling off the bloody thing. Still, Richard says taht he can definitely teach me to be a safe road-worthy rider on a CBT course, so watch this space.
Sarah - Doesn’t it just!!
5km run is at the end of May!!!
Oooh! exciting, well done you and good luck for it
very very jealous!!!
you be careful now!
Don’t be such a blouse - pass your test and buy a proper bike.
My advice is: spend lots of money on security, because in London you can guarantee the bike will get nicked the minute your back’s turned. And spend even more money on a good helmet and body armour, because you WILL crash sooner or later, and when you do your gear will save your life.
Woah there LC… I totally agree with you. I don’t want a crappy little 125cc… BUT listen to my reasoning first…
My plan is to get a CBR 125 on being awarded my CBT (hopefully this weekend if timing permits). I want to swan about on that for a few months and get used to bike riding on the road - London’s busy roads no less!! When my confidence on two wheels and navigating London’s traffic is improved, then I’ll be trading in for a 500 or maybe bigger. The Mechanic has a CBR 600 and a GSXR750 and the problem I have with them is that tehy are heavy bikes and I struggle to wheel them around (which will see me fail!!!!)
The CBR 125 would not be a longterm bike. It’s just to get used to on. I could of course spend £500 on a bike course NOW… only to spend a week being taught and then fail. Much rather walk before running and not end up failing… 125 for a few months, then bike test and pass it, then bigger bike…
Back in your box man!
i so thought u were talking about cognotive behavioural therapy. doh
