There’s an IP address that haunts my blog. It’s been around for over a year - I know, I have labelled it on my stat tracker. It arrives every morning and hangs around for anything up to a few hours, jumping in and around my blog posts. Then it comes back repeatedly throughout the day, sometimes every ten to twenty minutes.
Do you really have NOTHING else to do that means you have to silently stalk my blog? I know who you are, you have commented before, hence the label. What do you find so bloody interesting? Do you know it makes you seem freakily obsessed?
If I am found dead in a ditch one day, blog friends, let this post point you in the direction of a likely suspect.

They obviously know nothing about RSS feeds then so we have someone who isnt strong technically.
Post it in a p/w protected post so we can see if eh/she stalks us!

Did you know you can now IP track who ever reads your gmail account? Incase you ever wondered if people where trying to read your mail.
Just look at the very bottom of your gmail and it’ll give you the details.
Now you can track other things! Horray

Strange that a person could have an IP address that doesn’t change…. could be someone from a company (in which case could be several someones) or someone paying for a static IP address.
Personally, I prefer dynamic addresses dished out via DHCP, so you can renew the lease, get a new IP and continue stalking, er, protecting my privacy!

It’s me. Except it can’t be because the time is way too long, I’ve only been back here a few weeks. But I did get guilty for a while. That’s not because I *am* guilty, it’s just because I’m used to being accused of things.
Stalking’s fun. Try it for yourselves. People get really paranoid if you follow them even for just an hour.
You can label IP addresses? Is that a wordpress thing?
Can someone point me in the direction of being able to do this on my blog?

You can set up blog tracking on a variety of stats sites, the most popular being Statcounter.com as far as I know. I know that a lot of people use Google stats as well.

I hope it’s not me. I’m sleepless, but not stalking. At least not any more than reading any stranger’s diary is stalking….
I like Statcounter .. you even get a map and everyfing .. which is how I know someone reads me from the 18th tee on a golf course in Colorado!!! The only problem is that I’ve got about 40 lurkers who will not “out” themselves, although some of them may be you lot in disguise!
