quiet time

18Nov08

I have been in migraine hell today. I woke up with a splitting headache and severe nausea and just knew it wasn’t going to be a good day. The curtains in my room are shit and let too much light in. After a few hours of retching over the loo, I finally forced the last [...]

Polly rat, as I might have mentioned before (I can’t remember), has been much more sleepy of late. I had put it down to age. I got her in November (I think) 2006 so she’s about 2 now, which is a respectable age in rat years, so I wasn’t surprised that she had started getting [...]

Yum!

I sat on the train this morning reading The Metro that is given away free at stations in major cities in the UK. As we pulled into Clapham Junction, I felt tears leaking from my eyes as I read about the horrific abuse suffered by little Baby P.
I felt sick to my stomach. How can [...]

This is a half-formed post, but not through lack of thinking.
I have, today, started reading a book called “The Tao of Pooh” by Benjamin Hoff. It was recommended to me by Spiritual AD who used to work at PR Agency and who was unflappable because she seemed to have an inner strength and acceptance of [...]
