Picture the scene if you will.
It’s about 2pm in London Town. Most people are heading back to the office after lunch – perhaps a sandwich next to the river or a stroll with colleagues. On the London Bridge station side of London Bridge, a tall, handsome and athletic young man in trainers, shorts and charity [...]

So, the situation is not ideal but I am trying to keep smiling. We did a remarkable job of distracting me this weekend to the point that I almost managed to convince myself that it wasn’t happening to me and I’m just an objective bystander.
Weekends away with The Mechanic – even those weekends where we do [...]

So, I’ve not been having that great a time of late, but I was suitably rescued by good friends on the day that I received some pretty poopy news.
First up, lovely G was on the end of the phone for a tearful phone call as I walked from the surgery to the bus stop to [...]

But so far I have earnt £12.75 through taking part in YouGov surveys.
So, it is since last May and they won’t send you a cheque until you get to £50, but every little helps…

I know none of you will really know what to say about this, so I don’t expect anything. Don’t feel you have to comment.
I was at my GP surgery this afternoon for a smear test. Yes, yes. “Just a formality,” I told myself. “Back in the old system. 95-98*% of women are fine. I am [...]

Unsurprisingly, I’ve not got much to offer today. The post I wrote yesterday took an age to write, propped up against pillows in a room darkened by drawn curtains. Today, while I am upright, dosed up on Lemsip Max, Sinex and Ibuprofen, and recovering from a Zopiclone-induced sleep (Nytol simply didn’t even touch me and [...]

tube: delayed

23Mar09

I don’t know if it caused any delays in reality, given that it was as I disembarked the train and was squarely on the platform that I felt woozy and dizzy and then keeled over.
I’m not really sure what happened, except that I shouldn’t havegone to work today because i feel so awful but with [...]
