the pendulum swings
The other day, Random Reflections took the cap off her pen and wrote a blog post.
Writing. How terribly quaint.
I’ve given it a go for today’s post.
It felt very odd to write a full page. I realised that, despite my profession and all the words involved, I actually rarely write anything these days – sometimes the odd little note to The Mechanic or Meerkat, maybe a birthday card here or there, on occasion a few notes during a meeting.
I type at twice the speed I scribe at.
You’ll have to click the image thumbnail to read it of course, and even then, you might struggle… I find handwriting analysis fascinating. Do you think there is anything in it? I wonder what my scrawl says about the kind of person I am or my current mental state? Does anyone know?
Why don’t you write out your next blog post?

It’s interesting: I feel like reading a hand-written post is a lot more revealing and a lot more personal than reading a typed one. I wish I had a scanner so I could do this, too.
Love the idea!
I just took a photo of the page with my camera…
I like the idea too.
and luckily we are at mid-week point Soupy so the weekend will be round quite soon hopefully you can rest up xx
I like this. I hope you can eventually get through the trouble that is surrounding you right now.
When I first started blogging I wrote a few posts… Mainly when I was away from a computer. I liked it because it meant I could draw as well, but because my hands can’t write fast enough, I lost a lot of what I wanted to say.
(Aw… I dug one of them out: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v462/rosiewishes/diary.jpg From 2004 I think?!)
I like writing, but as you find, I type twice as fast as I write. But there’s nothing quite like sitting down with my diary and writing what I did that day, in my actual diary. I sit and think about it for ages with that thing. I lose patience when trying to write out an entire blog post. Its usually spur of the moment and I edit them too much.
I am really pleased you did this. I found it very freeing writing a post by hand – and you have much better handwriting than me.
I hope your troubles pass…
